The year 2026 has started slowly due to personal issues, but with a clear, albeit unplanned, emphasis on Charlotte Mason for the Americas, the newly developed, English-speaking initiative of Charlotte Mason en Español for schools and families interested in Anglo+Hispanic+Indigenous heritage in the Americas.

Such emphasis comes in the form of super interesting conversations and writings and support alongside different people who are now friends! I am honored beyond words

Awakening the Whole Child: A Charlotte Mason Philosophy of Education for the 21st Century. Edited By Deani Van Pelt, Elizabeth Millar, Sally Elton-Chalcraft

I was honored beyond words when Elizabeth Millar from the Charlotte Mason Institute asked me to share my home education story with my bilingual, Anglo-Hispanic children. I had never put in writing what I had to go through in order to get to the point of creating a bicultural curriculum for them, but it had taken me years, and it was marvelous, daunting, and so rewarding.

Chapter 26 “United States of America: Embracing a Hispanic Heritage within the Broader Culture” is the title of this humble story that I hope many Hispanic families and schools may find inspiring in their education.
